Can someone explain to me what exactly does it mean for Tim Miller to become a "material witness"? What are the ramifications of him becoming one or not? How does this help KC or what exactly will it mean for her?

Casey Anthony's father barges into news conference

Casey Anthony's father barged into a news conference today and demanded to speak with an attorney who represents a volunteer search group.

George Anthony and his attorney, Brad Conway, are talking with attorney Mark NeJame behind closed doors.

NeJame, an attorney for a volunteer search group that looked for Anthony's granddaughter, Caylee, last year, was holding a news conference this afternoon when George Anthony interrupted.

George Anthony's daughter, Casey, is accused of killing her daughter last year.

NeJame was offering more details on behalf his client, Texas Equusearch.

The land where Caylee's remains were found -- a vacant property a short walk from where she lived with her mother and grandparents -- was underwater last year, NeJame's office said in statement to the media and in a letter to the State Attorney's Office before the news conference started.

NeJame's office also released aerial photos showing the property in east Orange County was wet while searchers were looking for Caylee.

I found out what George stormed in about. So, I edited this post to reflect what I heard.

Is the news conference posted anywhere? I'm watching Tim Miller on HLN right now. I love him SOOOO much! God Bless that man!
I guess it turns out that Baez gave GA some bad information. Mark Nejame also was on and said it was about George was confused over what the conference was about. And they worked it out. I guess George was sad after and was ok with it after about a half an hour. George hugged them at the end.

I also love Mark Nejame.

GA barged into the news conference because Jose informed him that NeJame was going to release photos that proved that the area wasn't dry in November when the area was searched. The Anthonys and the defense team felt that the press conference and the release of the photos were improper. It's funny that whenever somebody wants to hide the truth, they say it is improper to release evidence that proves the truth. NeJame said the pictures were released to clarify any confusion and counter reports that the area was dry at the time of the search. He also said the pictures are important for anybody who is seeking the truth.

Now my question is this. Why the hail is Baez calling the Anthony's and telling them anything about what mark Nejame and Tim Miller were doing? What would be his purpose? IMO, it was just because he knew EXACTLY what George would do. Storm in there and be po'ed. The meeting was in fact, to show the area was underwater as they said it was from the start. So, I wonder what Baez had told GA it was about that made George so mad. I mean think about it. If Baez had only said they were going to show photos of the area and that it was under water. Why would GA be so furious? Baez told him something else, IMO. Probably that they were going to sho actual photos of the ground area on tv, is my guess. He's such an AZZ!

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- There were some tense moments Thursday afternoon in the case against Casey Anthony when Casey's father barged into a news conference with his former lawyer and the man who tried to find his granddaughter.

"It was all a big misunderstanding," George Anthony said Thursday.

The news conference was held Thursday afternoon ahead of a court hearing Friday and it all involves Tim Miller, the leader of EquuSearch.

Casey's defense team is trying to use Miller to say Caylee's body could have been dumped in the east Orange County woods where it was found after Casey was already in jail.

The Anthonys have left a trail of broken relationships and Orlando attorney Mark NeJame, who worked for them for free, and Texas EquuSearch founder Tim Miller, who brought his non-profit to Orlando to search for Caylee at Cindy's request, are among them.

I can make out the water in the first photo just to the right of the road, but I'm having a hard time seeing it in the other two. I found a few more pictures where I can make out the water.

You are probably right Tracey. You wouldn't think that GA would be so furious about photos that showed the area under water. I wonder what Baez really told him. I do understand why the defense would be upset about the release of the photos though. IMO, the photos work against one of the defense's main strategies of wanting to convince a jury that Caylee's body was placed there after KC was already in jail.

"New evidence is emerging that could blow a hole in the defense's case," anchor Aixa Diaz said.

Tim Miller said his group, Texas EquuSearch, could not search the area where Caylee Anthony's remains were later found. The reason?

"It was simply too wet," WESH's Bob Kealing said.

Mark NeJame, Miller's attorney, said they were trying to answer media speculation that the spot had been searched in November and that Caylee's remains were not there.

The toddler was found in December. Casey Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her child.

NeJame used to advice George and Cindy Anthony, Casey's parents and Caylee's grandparents, on public relations. But the attorney resigned out of frustration because he couldn't control the Anthonys.

Just as a thought..... wouldn't it have been better to hold onto this information for a while rather than to give the defense so much time to come up with other excuses???? I know they have to release it eventually, but do you think it was necessary to do it so early? After all, it was a news conference held by Tim Miller and his attorney rather than the State.

Defense team was behind George's storming news conference, WKMG reports

Sometimes not having to produce 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. newscasts works in WKMG-Channel 6's favor.

That was the case tonight as the CBS affiliate gave a fuller explanation of George Anthony's storming into a news conference where Texas EquuSearch was releasing photos about the search for his granddaughter, Caylee. Casey Anthony, George' daughter, is charged with the first-degree murder of Caylee.

WKMG-Channel 6's Tony Pipitone explained that Casey Anthony's defense team had been talking to her father, George.

George Anthony "was told by Casey's defense team today that it felt the release of the photos was inappropriate and that he should demand that [Mark] NeJame, who once represented George and Cindy Anthony, stop releasing the information."

Anthony and NeJame went behind closed doors "and shouting could heard for some time," Pipitone said.

WKMG showed both men after they came out about a half-hour later. "We all want to know what happened to Caylee," NeJame said. He said there had been a miscommunication between the parties.

"I want to know what happened, I need to know what happened," George said.

Pipitone reported that a defense spokeswoman told him that attorney Jose Baez "told George Anthony that the defense believes it was improper for NeJame to be releasing this information today, that George Anthony should assert his privilege."

Veteran reporters were scratching their heads today when prominent Orlando attorney Mark NeJame asked WESH-Ch. 2 to leave a news conference about one of his clients.

NeJame refused to get into specifics, but he was clear that he had no problem with reporter Gail Paschall-Brown.
