Israel Santos, 35 days old, found dead in trash with crushed skull

Asuncion Avila-Villa, 26, had reported her infant son missing but police say that story was fabricated.

Authorities allege Avila-Villa killed the child because she wanted to conceal her sexual relationship with the teen. That relationship was in danger of being discovered because government officials were ordering a paternity test on Israel as part of the normal routine for public-assistance applicants.

She has four other children. Two live with relatives in Texas. Two others living with her in Hamilton have been placed with relatives nearby.

It is horrible to murder a 35-day-old baby to cover up a sexual relationship with a minor. She deserves the maximum possible penalty.

Yes, j4a, this is just horrific. It's been all over our local news since before the weekend. They knew immediately that she was lying. And, there the baby was in the trash behind her apartment. Another senseless case of a selfish woman killing her own offspring.
